The Tabby Poet

Lola may look like an ordinary tabby, but she's actually an amazing Poet Cat.

I have a lot of magnetic poetry (over 15 kits) on the side of my fridge and on a magnetic whiteboard next to that. Only a small fraction is at cat level, leftover from when I was composing poetry for Purrscilla while she ate. Lola and Tilly never seemed to notice it, even though the refrigerator is next to their food & water.

One day I came home to find the tile my in the water dish. Next day, it was always enable, with an oversized ME tile 2 feet away.

Yes! Perfect Word!

Let's see...I need a pronoun...

Then I saw it happen. Lola rushed up to the refrigerator and began to frantically pull down tiles. She did it in a manic, intense way that somehow managed to look purposeful. So, I gathered up the tiles and made a poem. A few hours later, the same thing happened, and now Lola composes poems several times a day.

Some poems are pretty cool. Others...especially her "epic poems" are, well, pretty incoherrent. But she started at only 8 months old, so I cut her some slack.

Ready to find out what she writes? Then let's read Lola's Poetry.
